Would someone please cite the documentation for Ann Brown as the wife of Robert, Sr.?
This was in 1730 when Margaret Mackay married Joshua Job.
Ann was Robert's 1st wife. She is mentioned as the mother of said daughter Margaret but I gather she was deceased at the time of her marriage. It was Robert's 3rd wife, Margaret, who signed Margaret Mackay's marriage cert. along with Robert.
Robert's 2nd wife was Mary because she signed another one of Robert's children's marriage certificates back in 1725.
Dee Ann could probably explain it better.
I left my copy of the Mackay book in another part of the house for now. I'll get it out later when I copy more family wills on-line. Right now I just logged on to check emails and this message board which is why I couldn't provide a more detailed answer. Just gave you what I had off of the top of my head.
