I've got the interactive lines of descent of the Sowers, Kerfoot, & Davis families finished and connected to their counterparts in the wills, pictures & other things.

Here's a direct link to the page where these families are presented: http://www.geocities.com/Heartland/Park ... lines.html

I've decided to remove the direct link from the Bethel Memorial Inc. page and just make it an imbedded link. It is there if anyone wishes to know how an individual whose will or picture is displayed descends from our progenitors in these families. It is not intended to be a detailed genealogical record of these families. It is only meant to connect the people whose wills or photos are displayed. If you are wondering why a particular line isn't carried out further that's the reason.

I have no plans to put our complete genealogical records on-line. There are numerous reasons why I do not wish to do this which I won't get in to here.

I do hope that these interactive lines will make it easier for people to see how the subjects of the wills and pictures are connected to The Robert Mackay Clan & The Bethel Memorial, Inc. families.

If you are wondering why there are pages with titles but no real text in some places it's because I haven't had time to add these wills to the website.

I'm hoping to be able to add the remaining Sowers wills tomorrow, Jan. 9th.

The two I will definitely be able to add are those of Jacob Sowers Jr. & William Sowers. I don't have a printed copy of Elizabeth (Kerfoot) Sowers' will yet so I'll have to see if I can make a copy off of the zerox that I have in my possession. I'm not sure when I'll be able to get that one up.

After this I will begin finishing up with the McKay wills and getting the interactive lines of this part of the family all connected. Also, I'll need to get the Steer lines changed over as well.

It would appear you do not have to belong to their site to look at the D.N.A. results they have posted.

A Virgil Warren Kerfoot has a result posted as I

However they do not have his line posted as well or e-mail address to see if related to our Kerfoot.

He answered my query posted on Gen Forum Kerfoot Message Board, looking for a male Kerfoot who had submitted their DNA sample.

He is not a male Kerfoot but Bentley under Y Search #14370 R1b1a2, his line from Wm. Kerfoot through female lines to Bentley:

Wm. Kerfoot m. Mary Margaret Carter (sic) their daughter
Mary Polly Kerfoot m. Arthur Watson Carter their son
Watson Carter m. Hannah Marvin their daughter
Martha "Mattie" Carter m. James Horace Miller their daughter
Anna "Polly" Terrill Miller m. John Ruthven their daughter
Catherine Anna Ruthven m. Jordan R. Bentley their son

It would appear Ancestry.com is going to add a new section containing their DNA samples on their site. But only to paying customers--cost of $99.

It does not appear these records will be offer on library edition--for "free" at your local library. Hope that is not the case, but we shall see.

These DNA records hold a lot of information which would be very helpful in our research.
