I am lookinf for info on any of the following: Chief Cashie was a Tuscarora Indian and was from Tandequemuc Village, N.C.; two sons Chief Cucklemaker(he became John Cassiah and moved to Kentucky), and second son Sandefer Cassiah. I had a link to some info. on Chief Cashie's descendants when I was exploring possible Tuscarora ancestry on my mother's family.

I'll have to look for it.

Anyway, I do remember the name Cucklemaker (or Cocklemaker) mentioned in the records.

What exactly is a Cockle anyway?

Chief Cashie's descendants are:
Sarah b 1730's
Sandifer b 1737 and died 1808 Pulaski county Ky.
John b 1740 and died 1831 Union county NC
Dunning b 1742 and died 1769 or so Mecklenburg county NC
Cuckamucka b 1750(name changed to John Cale in 1779 Cuckamucka means beadmaker
