I am Liz MacKay-Farley. John MacKay's kid. (one of the many)
Our daughter Doris Joan, sat up for the first time last week. I know it sounds boring, but we found it to be quite an exciting event.
And she likes to spit up on mommy.

Especially when they time it just right and get that nice new blouse you just bought from the store.

You can just hear 'em think "yeah!! alright!! woohoo!!.

No joke, that is so funny. I think they also plan on when to smack the water when it's bath time to make sure that you get just as wet as they do. My daughter Zoe just took her first two steps on her birthday (12/16) and then took two more today. Slowly but surely we'll have her walking all over the place. She is already a master of getting up the stairs without her brothers noticing.

When I was small enough that my mom would give my brother and I a bath in our tub I remember I knew how to rig the shower up so that it would stay on even though the water was turned off.

With the shower lever on the tub faucet in the up position you turn the water off. That way there's still pressure in the pipes that prevents the lever from going down to divert the water back to the faucet.

My mom went in to turn the water on for us and got wet from the shower.

I was probably about six or seven at the time.

In the newer houses I don't think you can do that anymore.
