Lessons and Carols Candlelight Service Announcement.
Dear Bethel Members and Friends:
On behalf of the Board of Trustees, I am pleased to send this reminder as to our Annual Lessons and Carols Service at Old Bethel on Sunday, December 16, 2018, at 5 pm. As usual, we will feature The 6th Dimension Handbell Choir in our beautiful candlelit setting. This Service is always the hallmark of the Christmas season.
Please dress warmly and bring a flashlight to make return to your car easier after the Service. The actual event is only about 30 minutes, so it is perfect for young children and others who have a limited durability in a cold building on a December evening.
On a more secular note, I am also following up on our campaign to replace windows and reenforce the floors. While the initial phase of our fundraising efforts has been a success in covering the cost so far of about $30,000.00, we are lagging in raising additional funds to cover more structural repairs and the recovery of capital reserves, requiring about $30,000.00 more.
The Board thanks you heartily for your generous contributions to date, but we do request that you consider an extra contribution before the end of the current fiscal year. A response envelope is enclosed for that purpose. Also, if you have not renewed or joined as a member, please do that as well.
We look forward to seeing you at Bethel and have a wonderful holiday season!
