Dear Bethel Members and Friends:

            Old Bethel's Annual Summer Meeting and Traditional Service is set for Sunday, August
27, 2017, at 11:00 am.

            Our honored speaker will be Suni Mackall. Ms. Mackall retired on April 1, 2017, as the
Clarke County Commonwealth's Attorney, serving as its chief prosecutor for the last 19 years.
She now has a private law practice in the City of Winchester. Her talk is entitled "Understanding
14". She will describe Never Lead The Queen's original first production of Understanding 14, a
show chronicling a prosecutor's journey to redemption from 14 homicide cases. We are pleased
that Ms. Mackall will be with us on August 27th.

            Otherparticipants will be The Reverend Richard Stinson as the Officiant. Carol Westervelt
will be our organist. Madeline MacNeil (with dulcimer) will provide her extraordinary special
music.

            As always, following the service, there will be the traditional "under the oaks" covered dish
picnic, rain or shine. Please bring food to share and a lawn chair.

            We are enclosing a 2017 dues and contributions form for continuing restoration
projects. A tax-deductible contribution to Old Bethel would be greatly appreciated.
